New to the Circle
« on: 30 Jan 2019, 10:34 pm »
Hello, TAS here.  I just joined today.

My audio background is in record production and tube microphone design.  I've been chasing HiFi for the last 45 years or so.  Yes, I wish I had some of my old gear (!), and yes, there are many pieces of modern gear that are better.  I have several systems, but my Rogers LS 3/5a speakers have stayed with me since I got them in the late 70's.  I recently retired and have been going through my "stuff" to see what works, what doesn't: what stays, and what goes.  This has rekindled my interest in tube amps, and I've might just spring for an OTL tube amp.

Regards,

Terry

Hello Full Range Man.  I'm currently looking at the Linear Tube Audio ZOTL 10 MKII, which uses EL84s.  As opposed to the Futterman OTL amps, these, thankfully, don't eat output tubes.

Terry
