New to the Board
« on: 29 Jan 2019, 09:50 pm »
Hey guys, my name is Chris from Sacramento and I am still new to the game. My current system is a 5.2.4;

Revel F208 L/R
Revel C206 center
Revel S12 Rear
Klipsch ct5800 x4 Atmos
Jtr cap 1400 & Hsu vtf15 mk2 dual setup.
Yamaha rxa3050
Parasound cha 2205

I started off 80% HT and 20% music, but it's more like 70% music and only 30% HT. I am always open to reading and learning more to improve my system and knowledge.

Hi, Chris.

Welcome to AC.

I started out HT. Then, went to approximately 80HT/20music. Within months of that I ceased HT entirely and over the next four years went crazy with two-channel audio.

Enjoy your journey!

Michael

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

With my current system, I am using my yamaha as my processor for everything. Is there anything that I can do or add to improve on my 2 channel music listening?

Welcome to AudioCircle Chris!

Try setting your receiver to the all analog stereo setting, usually called Pure Audio or something like that. Check the manual. It shuts off all DSP, but DAC and volume still work.  It doesn't always sound better or notice any change, but worth a try.
