I feel like the speakers do better without the sandbox under them. The bass is a bit better sound stage stays just as high and wide. I like that I can set in my chair and look over the top of the speaker it ads to the illusion of disappearing speakers for me.
What is the sandbox supposed to do other than simply raise the drivers to ear level ?
