Jim, This looks good. What's your take on it compared to Intents and Purposes? I like Archie Shepp alot, when I can give him my complete undivided attention.

I don't still have it so I can't really say.  If I remember right John Tichicai (no way that's spelled right) joined the group on alto.  And I haven't listened to the album under discussion for about a year but I will remedy that over the next couple days.  Have a couple of Shepp albums, a bunch of Trane's and saw his quartet with Tyner, Garrison, and Jones maybe a half a dozen times in the 60's.  I was a teenager but one who dressed well and had a fake ID :roll:.

Oh, and a couple minutes later I'm holding Shepp/Dixon's "Consequences" in my hand.  All kind of cats play on this:  Tchicai, Don Cherry, Ken McIntyre, Ted Curson and Sunny Murray (BYG Records).

Haha! Great story! I have Archie Shepp Montreax Vols 1&2 which I like a lot. Never saw him live though.
