rare Dac with transformer coupled output - no opamps, active circuits etc .Uses transformers from Edcor USA. for output. Outputs level approx. 2.2 volts .Uses a CS 4396 dac chip -24/192 capable ( I have only tested to 24/96) . Inputs are coax, XLR and USB ( 48khz max) . Includes the upgraded temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) add on for low jitter. External laptop style regulated power supply . Solid Made in USA . HQ parts throughout . Only a few made as they were better designers than business types I gather.
Works fine . Has a definite transformer style full and rich sound , no harshness or fatigue. Simply not using it. IMHO great match for getting rid of "digititis" . Includes dac and power supply. Very few commercially available transformer coupled dacs around and none at this price.
