I would love to see the agenda in two phases.

The first phase around a two channel system with a tubed pre and tubed amp for the LS9's.  Sons subs.
Try different tubed preamps with solidstate amps.  Establish the best sounding preamp of the group.
Try the best tubed preamp with different tubed amps.    Establish the best combo.

The second phase around a HT application of the Ls9 with subs.
It is really hard to beat the Home Theater system as it is at Sunils "House of High Decibels".  Everyone should hear a home installation like this once in thier lifetime.

I would love to hear the Melody Pure Black 101 preamp with my Cherry amp running the LS9's.  Sweet Mother of God, that would be worth every bit of the price of admission.  Fronting the monos that Sunil has the PB101 be an awesome 2 channel addition.  Does the PB101 have HT bypass?

I don't have any balanced to balanced cables.   Are there some at the Soundofrockets hall of dynamic listening?

....... this is starting to sound interesting.........

Pretty well decided that Anne and I are not flying up (tickets/car rental is adding up)

Gotta figure out if I'm going to figure out a way to pull it off by myself, or if the boss wiould not be thrilled  :peek:

The whole purpose of the trip is for you guys in NoCal get to hear Melody gears with LS9 since I also have the 9s here but mine got external crossover networks courtesy of B2. :)

What?
You can't back out now that I decided to go. :(

If you prefer, we can split a rental van and I'll do the driving both ways?
