The SB-301 mkII is a high bias stereo Class A/AB amplifier that delivers 470 watts per channel at 4 ohms.
100 Amps peak current delivery per channel.

It's a really good stable amplifier when the speakers demand a lot of power to drive bass without distortion or treble with detail and finesse and it will cope with inefficient speakers. The standing temperature is lower than that encountered in full Class A series designs because it runs in Class AB above about 30 watts output.
It occupies a niche in audio systems for the person that really loves big dynamic sound like movies and orchestral pieces.
The physical construction of the SB-301 is based on the SA series designs so it has the same distinctive aesthetic as the Class A products and indeed much of the electronics topology is derived from that Class A history
This amplifier delivers all the dynamics, finesse and transparency that Plinius is renowned for. Like all Plinius products it is very reliable and will rise to the challenge of difficult operating conditions time and time again.

Amplifier Configuration Selector (ACS) switch:
The rear panel ACS switch allows for the amplifier to be configured for Stereo RCA or XLR modes.
Remote Trigger Input:
When connected to a preamplifier trigger output, the amplifier will switch out of Standby and be ready for use when the preamplifier is taken out of standby.
Ground Lift Switch:
This allows for the signal ground to be isolated from the main chassis earth. This can assist in resolving unwanted ground loops or hum due to duplicate ground paths in some systems.
WBT and Neutrik Connectors:
High quality WBT RCA and Neutrik XLR input connectors are fitted along with WBT output speaker terminals to ensure a low distortion interface between your cables and the amplifier.
