SP1.7 Controller software for the pc
« on: 29 Oct 2004, 07:41 pm »
Hi,

Is there any controller software for the pc to control the SP1.7?
And if so, can I modify the setup and see what values are set in the unit on the pc?

Thanks,

Soundwave

Hi Soundwave,

I've been using girder (www.girder.nl) to "talk" to the SP1.7 via the rs232 port.   This allows you to query the sp1.7 and pull (or set) current volume, input, mode, etc etc etc.

Not for the faint of heart, but certainly do-able if you have the time.

Hi Scott,

Thanks! I''ll give it a try. Theta, Parasound and Anthem all have their own software, would be nice if Bryston did the same.
