Title: GTA FEET UPGRADE
Post by: ssegrub on 1 Jul 2010, 04:57 am
I am considering upgrading to a set of the new GTA squash ball type feet for my standard Amadeus. I would like some guidance on this, as I see the GTA uses 4 feet as aposed to my standard model which uses 3 feet. Has any one tried this modification and if so what changes occured?

I had a chance to try it....no change, really.  The problem for me is that I have to use the isolation platform or I get a big howl going, and I think the new feet were designed so that you wouldn't need to use the platform.  So for me it seemed a little overdamped.  I've seen photos of people using the new feet with the isolation platform, so each to their own.  I've also seen people not need an isolation platform at all, with the table very close to their speakers.  So for me it must be a room thing.
Unless you're having some isolation issue, I wouldn't even bother.  They won't make your table sound any better.
