I while ago, a cabinet maker friend of mine was working on a high-end A/V cabinet project for a wealthy client. He was using the most outrageous block mottled eucalyptus I had ever seen. I immediately ordered some for myself. Of course, this not the type of veneer anyone would ask us to work with. They simply wouldn't know it existed. So it was obvious that I would have to build a pair of speakers using it on a spec basis. I decided to build a pair of HT2's which are now finished and available.
The color of the veneer is very similar to cherry. But the block mottled figuring is stunning - very tight and with 100% coverage.
