Hi Kyri and everyone who attended our opening weekend.
Both My Wife Wendy and myself would like to thank everyone that made the effort to come to our opening weekend, and Kyri and Ross for helping out, before the event you think you are going to be sitting around all day just hoping someone comes in, well from 10am until I had to shut up shop at 7.30pm, over both days, the place was extremely busy, around lunchtime on the Saturday it was absolutely heaving, we had audiophiles in with their partners, children and even a dog, it really was amazing and totally unexpected to be honest.
I have to say that the SP3 and MB2i’s were the star of the show with everyone totally gob smacked at their performance, especially when playing the Gorrilaz track ‘Dare’ the MB's never seized to amaze at the depths they could go down to, although several times I was worried about the strength of this old building that HiFi lounge is situated in, you could feel the bass going through the wooden roof beams, great fun though
So a massive thanks to everyone who helped make it such a fun weekend, I have to say though that having that much fun can be extremely exhausting, I really could do with lying down in a darkened room for a couple of days to recover, fantastic weekend though.
Onto the next event, time to start planning our first Bryston/PMC Owners Club meetup at HiFi Lounge, we may try to get one in before the end of the year, if not we will hold the first one early 2013, that should be fun, although I may have to strengthen the building first.
