Here in HK, the asking price of the 24-70L f2.8 is about US$1,200, though I am sure you can negotiate that price down. I also came across the 28-70L f2.8 in one store, and the asking price was about US$250 less. Given that the difference vs the 24-70L f2.8 is said to be small (though it is there), the 28-70 may be a better value. The asking price of the consumer grade 24-85 f3.5-4.5 is about US$300.
The asking price of the 70-200L f4 is about US$700, again before bargaining.
