Those are nice looking too. I can think of a couple of other contenders that would be tough competition. The Focal Shape and the Hedd Audio monitor. Those are marketed to the Studio as the JBL is.

They aren't active (yet) but the revamped R series just announced by KEF also look very interesting...

I'm interested in some of the middling priced coaxial style monitors out there like the PreSonus sceptre 8 and the Fluid Audio FX8. They are popular in studio circles.

I haven't heard them either but in studio and pro gear forums they are held in high regard.

Love to hear these.  Alternately, single-driver Omega + Decware's Super Zen Triode... Heaven!!!!!  Same $2K spent.
