About to be a member of the club

I have owned a NIKKO Alpha 440 power amp for over 40 years and it gave me very good service and satisfaction. One morning a few weeks ago...nothing.
Fast forward through some research and deep evaluation and contemplation, I called up Odyssey, talked to Klaus and have a Stratos extreme on order. I’m actually pretty nervous to find out if my intuition was correct and that this was the right move.

What speakers will you be driving? Most folks find Odyssey to have some of the best bang per buck in the business.

I know I really like my system and it gets better each day!

Just be prepared to have your patience tested (it’s worth the wait)!

Happy Listening!

I have M&K speakers but am interested in others in the future that will likely benefit from the power the odyssey delivers.

welcome

on the old lovely nikko... it may just be something simple like a power switch, a fuse or a bad power plug...

Wow, I had MK's in the 90's. My brother still uses their woofer & satellites for A/V.  They're super efficient, so a Stratos will be overkill, but excellent in any case.  Don't know about the NIKKO, but I'm going to guess it's classic vintage. In any case I wouldn't worry.  You'll be well prepared for any speakers you throw at it next.
