Stratos Stereo Amp Balanced Input

Stratos Stereo Amp Balanced Input

Question... I have a Stratos Extreme amp and want to know if the balanced input is actually truly balanced? I love the amp great, and very impressive amp especially for the price. But I have always wondered whether the balanced connection was truly balanced.

As far as I know they are not balanced

The amp design is single ended
So it's not true balanced. Balance inputs are just for convenience sake
However for me it hardly matters. It's the implementation which is more important and I am more then happy with the sound

A while back I tried the XLR ins and did not like it as much as with the RCA ins.

Does anyone else have a thought or preference?

I will probably try each again in the near future.

For me, I removed the connection jumpers of the XLR connectors. I can't afford to purchase XLR cables.
