Ken Kessler calls it 'butchering' but it is MY gear innit!

Detailed at AA - Main system and kitchen / family room HT [;-)] -

http://cgi.audioasylum.com/systems/2556.html

bedroom system

BUT for some piccies and some words and a bit of history

http://www.theanalogdept.com/tim_bailey.htm

Main system is a semi-actively biamped pr of Audiosphere (Australia) Model 3's, from 1979.  White spheres with Foster drivers.

Two Leak St20's (modified), and a FourValvePreamp from AWE (now VSE) heavily modified, in a QUAD22 box sep. PSU.

Vinyl, CD, Radio (AM and FM! via tubes), Nak for cassette, tweaked VCR for time shifting. Good antennas.

long and careful learning -> set-up.

Sorry I'm late to the ballgame.

I run a vintage setup in my office/den comprising a Sony STR 6060FW receiver (as well as a Yamaha CR1040 receiver), driving a pair of AR 10pi speakers. I'm using a Roksan DP1/DA1/DS4 digital front end. I'm considering going current techno with the addition of a Squeezebox.

My main, 2 channel system comprises ..... Martin Logan Sequel II, Sonic Frontiers SFS 80, Bedini BC 800a, Modwright Sony SCD777ES.

My rec room, multi channel system comprises .....  REDGUM RGi120, Parasound HCA-855A, Parasound AVC-1800 Processor,  Athena FS2.2, Athena BS1.2, Paradigm Titans, Mirage MCsi, Mirage BPS150i,  Pioneer DV578A , Enlightened Audio Design DSP-7000

Vintage gear inventory (most in storage):

JBL L-300 Summits
Marantz 4400
Technics SL-1300
Akai GX-747D
Teac A-6010
Scott 222-C

Most of the gear I have no room for except the 222, once rebuilt (by NOSValves) will be the centerpiece of my office system driving Omega Revolutions on Mapleshade/Timbernation custom platforms and with Bolder modded SB2 as sole source.  Also will have Music Reference EM7 amp doing headphone duties, and AV123 ULW-10 sub and R-DES for bottom end reinforcement.  May add the Teac A-6010 in the 222 tape loop later on once the deck is fully restored.

Main system in living room is all modern:

Denon 2910,
RWA SB2 (out for mods)
RWA Signature 70s
Acoustic Zen Adagios
VPI HW-19 w/Scout platter and bearing/ Sumiko Blackbird
Custom phono stage (modded commercially available unit, but in agreement with manufacturer can't mention which one.)

Various cabling from Reality, Anticables, Mr. Cable, and lots of homebrew.

1- Gibson Historic 58. second from far right. The rest are earlly MIJ LP copies, Burny, Tokai, etc... also I banez MIJ Talman, some USA fender strats.. etc.. My favorite is a earlly MIJ black SG Custom copy that is a dream to play & has incredable tone, also has a huge neck, like a 58 LP, which is rare, most never have fat necks,, I like fat necks...If I by anymore guitars, it will be earlly MIJ copies.. they a very good for the money...Gibson has lost there mind on pricing & I will not participate in that crap any more.I had to pay 2000.00 for the History USED!!!!!!!1what a load of crap..nice guitar, but not that nice..I have never had a bad earlly MIJ..ever....people are catching on to this & the prices are bieng relected world wide......My favorite amps are a Soldano Astroverb & a Wards Airline, aka Valco, that is a 6v6 se lil wonder in tone,,,,people have also caught on to this to..prices thru the roof!!!!!!!!

A Marantz CD 94/II CD-player, a Marantz CDA 94 Digital Converter (upgraded by Siltech), a Harman Kardon 16A Power Amplifier (upgraded) and JBL L3 loudspeakers or JBL 4312 A Control Monitor loudspeakers (depends on my mood).

In my hobbyroom i have a Thorens TD 160 turntable, a Sony TA1120F tuner, a Sony TA1120A integrated amplifier, a Philips CD 300 CD-player and JBL 4312A Control Monitors. Both Sony's and the Philips were totally modified a few weeks ago.

Connected to the soundcard of my computer: a JBL SA-600 integrated amplifier from 1966 with T-circuit with JBL Control One
loudspeakers.

Just for fun and to look at now and then: My first factory-made amplifier a Danish Arena F 210 integrated amplifier from 1968 made by Hede Nielsen.

NEW: JBL 4312 A remodelled loudspeakers (i will paint them in  a decent colour soon)

I am the first owner of the: Harman Kardon Citation 16A (1978)
                                      Sony TA 5000 F (1972)
                                      Marantz CD 94/II (1990)

Hello Audiofriends,

Have a look at http://www.hififorum.nl/index.php?topic=10492.0 to see my vintage gear.

My last project was the restoration of a JBL SA-600 integrated amplifier from 1966 designed by the late Mr.Barth Locanti(T-circuit )
