Thanks for the photos.  Some rooms look more well put together than others.  Really looking forward to some sonic descriptions and more photos.

Very cool pictures. Thank you for that, as well as the captions. Great photography too.

Bob

p.s. I have a silly noob question regarding RMAF in general. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but it looks as good as any.
What do the vendors do with the furniture normally found in hotel rooms? Beds, dressers, TV's, chairs, etc.....

Bob,

The hotel takes the furniture out of the room beforehand and stores it elsewhere.

Is the carpet really as "colorful" as it looks in the pictures?

I actually think the pictures would look better if the carpet wasn't so ugly

Day 2 - several more dozens...

Enjoy!

Yes, the carpet is loud, quite bright in fact, but with lots of color and some decent texture. Hey at least it is clean and not grungy - which, in many cases, one can not say about the carpet at other shows. ;-)

Day 3 photos went up last night....
Day 3 photos went up (last) Monday night.... and was too zonked to remember to post and tell anybody about it.

I tried to tone down the carpet, somewhat artificially, in these later photos.

This warp speed  'one photo of the room system and maybe a close-up photo' Show Report was really fun to do. Certainly it is the way many people who go to the show experience it - peeking in rooms to see if they want to stop and listen awhile or not.

The next part of the show report will be much longer and more about closeups of most of the components and speakers. We took over 3250 photos, and we are probably going to be putting most of them into the report. This 'zooming in' on the show is, I don't know... more intense? So much of this gear are works of art in their own right. Works of art that actually do something. And many of them do it quite well.

Enjoy!
Mike

Thanks, Pez! It was great to meet you - though I did not know who you were when we met [several times :-)].

And thanks to everyone for your very kind words. It really helped when cleaning up and posting photos [when I should have been sleeping. 9am(!). Who came up with 9am. Should be a law... :-)].

Enjoy!
Mike.
