Hello,
Anyone using a Grande 8R powered with 300B SET?  I'm trying to get the opinions of those with this type of set up for I might end up with this.  Also, I'm planning to build a Welborne DHT 45's and wondering if this can power the Grande 8R.  Main listening preference are classic jazz and classical with a little 80's music on the side.  Presently enjoying a Fostex 168EZ based full loaded backhorn using 300B SET, PP EL-34. PP 6bQ5 and a Mac 1700.  Thank you.

I usually use a 300B at the shows and at the shop for testing. The speakers sound great with 300B amps. The best sounding 300B amp so far has been the Wavelength Duetta.

I was also fortunate enough to have a borrowed Korneff for about a month and this works out amazingly well too. I really didn't want to give it back. No worries about the power and I have a local guy in Norwalk who uses a ASL tulip that's configured with 45s and he loves the sound. The Welborne should be great.
