Carver ZR1600
« on: 9 Feb 2005, 04:47 am »
I recently add a Carver ZR1600 in my setup that include a NOH and a Cary 303-200 player.  The input sensitivity of the Carver is adjustable ( .3V, .775V, 1,12V or 2,4V ). I was wondering what would be the best setting and why considering that the Cary is outputting 6 V RMS .

Thanks!

The lower the gain of the amp the less noise it will have so I would go for the 2.4V setting on the Carver ZR1600.  With the Cary can put out 6 VRMS, the ZR1600 would reach its max. output power (if you ever need to) way before the Bent volume control reach its max step.
