Could be joke of the year - then it might be second

Husband says to wife, "My Olympic condoms have arrived... I think I'll  wear 'Gold' tonight !!

Wife says "Why not wear 'Silver' and come second for a change."

Let me see

Watch a soccer game or listen to some music.

This is most definitely a “no-brainer” decision. Grabs Abney Park’s “taxidermy” and walks over to the Esoteric.

Be well...

Although Croatia is not participating this time the question remains the same for me:

How to survive these few weeks?
I´ll turn my sytem on tonight and enjoy company of my 13 month old son.
Tonight´s choice of music: Teletubbies, Sesame street, Muppet show CD´s ...

I would like to watch some World Cup, and one of the fun novelties (for this hockey loving Canuck) is the way the British commentators turn a phrase.

However, I just CANNOT take that incessant buzzing during the broadcasts, so I will just watch, but listen to tunes.

Too bad, turning off some of us that will otherwise tune in to watch it.

The British commentators wear on me after a while.  Switching over to a Spanish speaking channel makes the British guys sound like they're announcing Golf.

I'd rather listen to the Spanish speaking announcers than the English speaking ones...   And I don't speak Spanish!!!

The buzzing is driving me crazy.  I'm sure there's a way for the broadcasters to trn them down without losing the on field whistles.   I'm pretty sure the buzzing is from all those long plastic horns in the crowd.   FIFA needs to ban them!!!

Turn down the sound on your TV. Turn up the sound on some good tunes.  :thumb:

There's only one thing I hate worse than the BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and that's soccer itself.  Come on guys, it's still hockey season down here in Hershey, PA gimme a break :D

Forgive me, but why isn't this thread in The Pub?  I am not trying to pick a fight, but it seems like all the other sports threads are over there.
