My Avalon Opus speakers from ~2003. One of the best room friendly speakers I've ever heard, and a perfect match for my tastes. I might be buried with them.

Don't you mean "in them"?

McIntosh MC2100 I acquired from the original owner who bought it new in 1974.
Next to it, a Mitsubishi DA-C20 that I bought new in 1978, and the Mitsubishi DP-EC1 turntable also from 1978.

Hey!

Oooh! I like that set up. I always like the look of the JVC's UFO DD. Should have pick one up years ago when they were cheaper! :duh:

Kenwood LO7M mono amps purchased new in the late 1970’s wonderful amps
I used them about 10 years . Sold to a friend he used them a few years then
Put them in storage . He pulled them out of storage a few days ago. We hooked
Them up to his system they sound great and work great .
I have a pair of acoustat 1+1 now purchased about 3 years ago built about
Early to mid 1980’s I put them in the system every once in awhile fun speakers
Also a couple cartridges one from the 1980’s and one from the 1990’s that need a
Rebuild.

They are still cheap comparatively for a high quality direct drive... about $500 from Japan plus another $100 for a step down 100V transformer.  Altogether, probably less than most cartridges around here.   And I think it is just as good as my other, more expensive tables.

Nakamichi RX-505 still on duty as needed. Also have my SX4/VX4 Miller&Kreisel subwoofer and satellites in supporting roles in the house. Those were my entries into real audio back in 1985.

A Heathkit SP2 (dual channel configuration) I actually have placed it as a display piece since the caps are very old and off spec. Time for a rest since it is the same age as I am and I know how often it gets to be difficult to avoid wanting a "nap"  I also have a BT Audio Baton which is at rest as well.
