GR Research Encore X LS vs Ascend Acoustics Sierra 2 EX. Both are at around the same price point both 2 ways, one with a ribbon tweeter.  So has anyone done a head to head on these two for a comparison? Toss in the CSS Audio 1 TDX to the mix too.

I don't have experience between those two exact speakers, but one thing is for sure- you can max out the crossover parts on the GRs, but you're stuck with the more budget crossover parts in the others at this price point.

I now have the NX-Oticas, but before them lived with a pair of Ascend Acoustics Seirra towers with the ribbon tweeters for ten years in my main system.  They were very good, but the Oticas are significantly better, more transparent, more open, etc.
