Electrostatic speakers

Hi guys
I am an audiophile since 1980 and like electrostatic speakers. Firts I had Audiostatic ES300R but dynamics were not good, then I switched to Acoustat 2+2 with better dynamics. At present I have Silberstatic DiYs with 2 big elements, one for mids and highs and one for the bass. Now I have dynamics and resolution.

I friend of mine visited me with a pair of horn loudspeakers. The horn was a wooden Le cleach Horn which sounded very good. We were surprised that this speakers sounded very similar to my Silberstatic electrostatic speakers.

Your DIY electrostatic speakers are interesting. Are those wire stators? Very nice indeed!

I hope we can chat sometime, as we have common interests. I've been designing and building wire-stator ESLs for fourteen years. My current design is a hybrid with an OB woofer under the panel.
