Long-time audiophile here with stints on Audio Asylum (no longer active there) and Head-Fi (quite active still).
After being very much into headphones (still am), I realized that my handy-dandy tube headphone amp could work as an excellent tube preamp, and I could sell my integrated for a better power amp and have even better sound quality once winter comes… so here I am.
My current setup is mid-fi with all music in digital form (both 16/44 ripped CDs and high-res), though with a better power amp I expect it will be a couple of notches higher in quality!
