Here's a sneak peek at a new Purifi design we will be offering soon...

Working on final voicing and pricing now.  Will post on our web site as soon as we're finished.

They make drivers also. The speakers that are shown are passive.

Jim,

Does the passive radiator make up for the small cabinet? You mentioned that the purifi drivers need lots of internal volume

The 6.5" Purfi's don't require a large cabinet.   The problem for 2-way monitors is that the appropriate port for the optimal box is too long to fit.  Hence the passive radiators.

I've modeled two center channel designs but won't produce either until someone wants one.  Both are MTM designs.  One uses 4.5" Purifi woofers (and the Satori Be tweeter) and is a smaller center.  The other uses a pair of 6.5" Purifi drivers with side-firing passive radiators and would be much larger.

Jim, do you have any of the 4.5" drivers to play with?
If so, will you be designing a 3-way with them?

We had looked at the potential of using a 4.5" in a 3-way.  But the one that worked the best was an OEM product.  Which means if the customer ever had a problem, it may be difficult to get a replacement without having to purchase a quantity of these drivers.  The 4.5" drivers for the center channel would work well since you can make up for the lower sensitivity by using a pair in parallel.

Thank you for the reply, sir. I see what you mean about the OEM offering. The "M" version is more sensitive.

When will "smokestack" external reflex vents come into vogue? Maybe you can be the first?   :thumb:
