I've heard both, as well as a number of Bendix matched pairs (part of an obscure testing exercise I became involved in). My sense is that you'll hear a much bigger difference as regards transconductance and matched sections vs. a given manufacturer. I was striving for very accurate - analytical, if you prefer - sounding tubes and preferred the coolest biasing tubes with highest transconductance.
