Is there anything I can do to improve the bass response in the Bugle?  It's very weak compared to other phono stages I've tried in the same system.

Bugle is a very easy device. So, I think about several external (to circuit) considerations:
- wrong values of one of the pairs: C3(C6), C2(C5), C1(C4). It may be possible to have mistakes in values of R10(R28), R14(R32), R8(R26), R13(R33). All this parts define the RIAA curve and can affect frequency response;
- problems with the power supply (overdrive? low voltage? bad filtering?);
- too low input impedance of the following device (pre? integrated amplifier?).
