Interesting article in Washington Post on vinyl records today

Yes, it's old news, but the post is not unwelcome at all.  There's a cadre of vinyl afflictionadoes who search for these special pressings  identified by the pressing numbers on the run out area.  That's as much as I know about it as I've never engaged in buying expensive lps, my searches are more like look honey, I got a car full of albums for $20!  The guy who runs Better Records believes in what he sells and seems sincere.

I played the two samples and could easily hear the difference between the two samples, it wasn't close.  But saying which was digital and which analog is silly after all the processing needed to record the selections and embed the samples in the article.  And I'm not sure what digital vs analog has to do with Better Records.

Interesting read, Thanks for the post. Hearing the difference wasn't a big test, the analog cuts each had a vinyl 'tic' in them despite any processing. As Let notes, mostly much ado about nothing. Enjoy what you enjoy and move on.

I would like to know if the polishing of the speakers makes a difference?

Also some budget acoustics that probably  work better
Then they look.
