Witches' Brew on RCA -  recently purchased from our own Folsom.  A VG+ to VG++ 1s3s copy.
After an ultrasonic bath, I see why the TAS rating.  Although these are mostly old war horses, hearing them like this was new.

And a nice gift from Folsom.  Thanks, I didn't have it and it's a very nice piece.  Asked the wife what she thought... "Sounds English" was the response.

The old war horse Sheherazade with Reiner and Chicago on RCA,  mono shaded dog.
The mono is more dynamic than the stereo... often the case.

Daniel Barenboim, Otto Klemperer, New Philharmonia Orchestra - Beethoven* ‎– Piano Concerto No. 4
Label:
His Master's Voice ‎– ASD 2550

This one is a really good one. I recommend it whether you get French, UK, Italian, German, whatever pressing, it's just a stellar performance of one of the best things Beethoven did (which I don't like most of his stuff so that's saying a bit).

Falla-"Nights in the Gardens of Spain" Gonzalo Soriana piano
Rodrigo- "Concierto de Aranjuez" Narciso Yepes on guitar
The National Orchestra of Spain conducted by Argenta on Decca/London CS 6046

Picked this up the other day because.... well, you just don't pass on a nice London blue back for 2 bucks.
But it's not my favorite of either piece.  Instead pick up a de Larrocha for Gardens and Paco de Lucia for Concierto.
The Paco de Lucia is nearly non existent in the US... get the Angel Romero on 45 rpm Angel Sonic Series.

When I was a kid taking piano lessons, I was in awe of the virtuosity of Vladimir Horowitz.  To this day he amazes me.
Horowitz Encores on Columbia.  The 70's Columbia pressings are usually pretty decent compared to what happened to RCA and Phillips of the same period.

I just got a copy cleaned and playing. It's good stuff.

This one is kinda hard to find... not even listed on Discogs.

Gave this one a listen, good stuff. Not perfect but good.

I picked that Grieg up because I'd never seen the Sonata on vinyl.  I've always been fond of his work, so two bucks for an unknown was a good bet.

Another version of one of my favorite pieces.  Julian Bream does a respectable job, but not the best on this Concierto de Aranjeuz.  The Vivaldi is very nice.
