I updated the firmware today on my BDP-1 and TIDAL no longer works.
First the installation went well and I logged into TIDAL....it is a new way of logging in ..... all went well and the MEDIA PLAYER indicated I was logged in at the bottom of the right hand column interface.
I selected some TIDAL songs and it populated the left side as normal.
I hit play and got the following error show on the bottom right of the interface:
TIDAL, OAuth access token missing
I checked the MPD log and it said the song was played:
Nov 21 14:28 : player: played "http ://localhost/mpd/tidalplay.php?Pop+Muzik-70743146-70743145-8913-file.flac"
Thanks for your help in advance,
Richard

I have exactly the same problem on my bdp-1 since the last firmware update.

I also have the same problem with Tidal since updating the firmware. Radio Paradise lossless is also unreliable. It worked fine previously. I have reported to Chris and waiting a response.
Is there a way of reverting to the previous firmware?

Hi Folks,
This is a Chris question but on my BDP-3 Tidal and Qobuz updated fine.
I know Tidal changed some of the login requirements and Chris had to make some changes.
Maybe the BDP-1 is reaching its processing capabilities?

Previous firmware worked fine on the BDP-1 for Tidal and RP lossless. If we can go back to that I will be happy.

Thanks for your thoughts on this! I wasn't expecting a response on a Sunday!
I will wait for Chris to weigh in on the technical side. Hopefully a quick fix.
Since Tidal and other streamers are ever evolving and the BDP-1 is not upgradeable......is there any hope for a Bryston BDP-1 to BDP-3 upgrade program like the 4B3 program?
Cheers,
Richard

When we updated TIDAL to use there new changes I had forgotten that we had to implement playback differently on BDP-1's. I plan to release a firmware update that should allow 320kbps streaming, not sure how easy or difficult lossless will be to fix for the BDP-1. I'm gonna try to dig up a BDP-1 here at work to test with.

Can I go back to the previous firmware? It worked fine for both Tidal and RP lossless.

Radio Paradise Lossless is completely unusable now on my BDP Pi. Even makes some horrible screeching sound so I don’t even try it now. My BOT-1 interfaces is also unstable.
