After setting for years at a friends house waiting for donor parts. My Sansui 2000X is back home and playing again. The display only lights up when the AM or FM is selected. Blacked out the rest of the time.

Having 'helped' my local tech replace the lamps/bulbs in the Marantz 112 tuner I picked up from Dieterle Tool here, I'd guess you could replace them yourself if you wanted. Just need to get the right voltage lamps. Heat up that soldering iron sir, you will be rewarded.
