Disclosure: I own 3 RBH in-walls that I use for home theater and I have owned RBH subs.
The brand has always lacked mainstream press acceptance. I'm sure there are gentlemen that support this site that would testify that it is not easy to win press attention away from Wilson, Magico, KEF and the few others that hold to it dearly.
It is also not about value, technology, build quality or "house sound". To become a "house-hold name" in the speaker business you have to win at marketing first (think BOSE).
RBH has always been about value and quality. I assume they make a living as they sell to lot of installers and have a nice product line. As for me I am part of the "exotic" O.B. fan club and RBH has always made conventional boxes (although good ones).
If they were market savvy, they would support A.C. they have a untapped market here that they don't even know about.

Although they may have done OEM manufacturing for other loudspeaker companies, their own marketing approach and website is a bit lackluster. It simply doesn't draw you in. Also there is model selection overload with too many models (that on the surface) seem similar, so it's a little confusing.
If people are even a little bored, confused or overwhelmed, they simply move on. There is a page with custom veneer swatches, but the majority of the photos are rather small uninteresting B&W.

What is your interest in them? All of the models appear to employ crossovers. ;)

My brother had a full 5.1 installed back when they reno'd their main floor.
He worked with an installer, and those were some of what they carried. My brother asked me about them, and I had heard of them but never heard them.
I have now! Full in wall and ceiling setup, with an HK receiver. Good sound for what he wanted, and certainly excellent for simple family entertainment.

Sub is - a Gallo, might be the TR-3 but not 100% sure.

Their website is HORRIBLE, particularly for how many products they have. What is irritating to me is that you select a speaker type or whatever on the left. It then takes you to a screen with just model/series/name tabs to click on. This is annoying as there need to be pics of the speakers on this screen by the tabs. As they are a less known brand, most people won't be able to identify what they're wanting to look further into by model/series name alone. I gave up immediately, as I didn't feel like sorting through each tab to see the different speakers. :duh:
The site is organized almost like that of a parts retailer.....which might be because they cater to custom installers more than anyone else.

audioholics message boards have a ton of rbh fanboys. probably my fave message boards. i know, what do av guys know about hi-end. lots of engineers and speaker designers there, including dennis murphy, and floyd toole has stopped by a few times. and no bs audiophile talk which is refreshing.

I like Audioholics quite a bit. Their reviews are among the most comprehensive around, particularly when they test speakers and subwoofers.
In my mind, they lend RBH a bit of credibility, despite the fan boy banter.

All aluminum mid/woofers? Not sure about that. :scratch:
By specifications they seem pretty ordinary for the price. And by the reviewers they frequent seem a bit pricey.
Found that the little curved top 2-way monitors ($370/pair) use spring clip posts (yuk). :nono:
