Selah Sound Bar
« on: 11 Feb 2016, 09:53 pm »
A customer sent me this picture of a design I did for him (he built the cabinet). The drivers hidden under the grill are a Seas 4.5" 2-way coincident driver and a 5" aluminum cone woofer added to make two 3-way speakers, one on each end.

Now that's a king-sized sound bar!

Rick designed this kit for me.  it is 70 inches wide, and replaces the mantel.  the mantel-speaker (TM) resolved my issue of placing good speakers in a room without any decent locations to mount a speaker.  the coaxial design eliminates the dispersion issue which would exist if the tweeter was next to the mid.  The WAF is terrific, she loves it.

Sounds richer than the SA2 with ribbons Rick also designed (years ago), in a smaller box to boot.  of course its two way vs 3 way.  Bass is unbelievable for the small 5.5 inch woofer.  And in case i move, i can cut the bar in half and use it as two regular speakers.

Thanks Rick for a Great design on this kit!
