Recommendations for internal speaker wire for Alpha LS

I'm in the process of gathering parts for the assembly of my Alpha's.  I'd like some recommendations on what to use for the speaker wire inside the enclosures (and probably in the cross-overs too).  Danny recommended some of the Teflon Silver Plated Copper Wire sold at Apex Jr.  The price is right, but I only want to do this once.  I've read that braided CAT5 wire is sometimes used.

So what do you guys think would be best???

Thanks,
Jon

Geez, why don't you try Danny's advice 1st. There is no reason to suspect he will lead a customer in the wrong direction. I'm sure he wants lots of good feedback on his Alphas since I have not read any customer reviews.

You might also think about using the same type of wire you are using for speaker cables (to connect to your amplifier.)

If you are really curious, you could do a wire test by using alligator clips. Start with the manufacturer recommendations who knows best and then tweek later.

Oh there is no question that I trust Danny's judgement.  A guy doesn't spend thousands on a speaker kit without having heard it, without a certain level of trust.  :)  I'm, as much as anything, just trying to stimulate some conversation.  I have already printed out the order form for ApexJr, but thought I'd get peoples input before I pulled the "trigger".  Danny usually uses copper for the internal wiring, but in this case he used this stuff.

For your reference, here are a few links I've come across with some feedback on the Alphas:

While nothing is permanent, I'd rather not end up feeling the urge to try different wiring inside the enclosure once I'm done.  It'd be one thing if this was a little speaker with just a few wires running to a pair of drivers.  In this case I'll probably make-up the harness of wiring I'll need prior to attaching the leads to the drivers.  In all reality, I'm pretty confident I'll be pleased with the sound of the speakers using anthing better than phone cord  :D

Thanks for the input!

I love the 12 guage wire for speaker wire.  It's what I use in my system.
