Title: The Anti-Tree Huggers
Post by: SteveFord on 12 Nov 2022, 09:55 pm
I think a giant underground fungus took this one out.
It was just amazing to watch these guys in action as that tree was over the road, over my house and over a whole bunch of power lines.

At least yours went better than the cherry tree in front of my house earlier this year. Luckily not a scratch on the cars or the mailbox that was right there. Shooting the gap like an x-wing in the death star.

An old buddy of mine owns a tree service business and the things I've seen him do are amazing.  I once watched him in a over two hundred year old church yard take a giant oak limb, as big as any tree by itself, and rig it so that when cut it swung around the tree, missing the church it was hanging over, in between the cemetery gates, and bang into the truck, taking only two small tiles off the gate.  They can do some stuff.
