I have been following the threads related to sound quality of Windows Vista and Macintosh operating systems with great interest.
I wondered if there is any consensus at this point as to which operating system sounds better? As a newbie to computer sourced audio I was wondering which way to go for an upgrade path.
Also are you better off upsampling in hardware or software for the best sound quality?

Mac OS X is easier, simpler. Some people claim that FLAC through Windows is the standard, but to me that seems to entail too many steps.
I do OS X. It is very simple.
