Greetings,

I am in Portland if you are in the area.  I highly recommend taking Steve Nugent up on his offer.  He is definitely someone to befriend and has help me out of many situations.

PM me and let's chat.

Welcome, Dwgwnr1969!

...Be patient as this is a more regulated site than others; 3 posts needed before access to other areas of the site. I registered a LONG time ago but never posted so I’m in the same situation as you...I don’t anticipate much activity but it’ll be nice to have this as an additional resource to glean as well as to contribute Audio-related experiences, happenings, etc.

Hopefully I can visit Oregon sooner than later; thought for sure I’d have been already maybe even more than once :| and its one of the few states still on my list  :thumb:

It's nice to see representation from Oregon.  There's obviously a high-end scene in Portland, but here in Eugene... not so much.

I like to think it’s up to us in the Willamette Valley to raise the bar to get big city folk interested.

There has and still been some nice equipment for sale in Eugene, even on Craigslist recently.

Getting folks toghter seems to be a issue.  I usally provide FREE beverages of the adult variety.

I moved to Salem from Seattle about a year ago.  So very happy to be here!

I joined the Portland Audio Club, found it via Meetup, and drive up to Portland once a month for the meetings.  It is nice to be around others in the hobby even if only for a couple of hours a month.  Maybe someday soon we will have enough folks in the Willamette Valley to start a group...

I’m game for a new regional group. I’ll wager there are a couple dozen people who would be interested in something local if we include Salem on the north and Eugene on the south.
