Bummer AC, hopefully it self fixes before it needs to take the trip. 
It's pretty strange. I was getting some low-level motorboating, so I assumed a filter cap had failed while it was sitting on the shelf (it's NOS), but that seems to have largely sorted itself. I still occasionally get what sounds to me like tube howl, even though it's solid state. I'm on the road for a week and it's cooking (without signal) so I'm hoping all will be ok when I return. When it wasn't making weird noises, it sounds fabulous, so I'm confident one way or another I'll be spinning vinyl in the not-too-distant future.
On the bright side, my new JC-2 linestage was sounding very nice this morning before I left, and that was just after about 24 hours. It should be hitting its stride nicely by the way I return, as I am running a playlist through it 24/7.
