Nuforce MCH300SE-C7 V3 Vs V3.01
« on: 29 Apr 2010, 08:34 pm »
Hi guys,

I heard about V3.01 was released few weeks ago.
I'm surprise to hear that because V3 is 6 months old in EU.
What are the beneficts of the V3.01 compared to the V3".0" ?

I read somewhere that V3.01 offers a big qualitative leap and internal electronics has been completely revised.

Is it possible to have more details and explanations about this "hardware release" ?

Regards.

Hi,
We have an interim production revision called V3.01.  The fact that it's called 3.01 and not 3.1 or 4.0 implied that it's a very small change, and the amps are still V3.

Hi,

Thanks for this update.
What has been changed in v3.01 compared with v3.0 ?
Is there any document (release note) showing changes ?

I'm curious because I sent my Nuforce (v3.0) to customer service. There was an issue with power cards (when starting up all "led" were not all "green", that means there was a boot sequence problem).
So my seller sent me a new product (and v3.01 is notified on it).

I do not remember minor changes was implemented in V2. Is there an other minor release planned (other than V3.01) ?

Regards.

Hi,

Would it be possible to have a feedback from Nuforce ?
Where can we find out a release note or any document describing changes between V3 and V3.01 ?

I got both versions... I can say that components (inside the box) are not at the same place.
Some of them are changed (I don't speack about cards which seem to be the same as in V3).

If it's an improvement (even if it's not a big deal) why don't speack about that ?
I wonder what Nuforce sought to get better with this interim version ?

Then what it's planned at short or middle term ? Is v3.02 or 3.1 coming soon ?

Regards.

We found that the original V3 zobel filter design is incompatible with some speakers and would cause some ringing at 50Khz when fed at high frequency.  There fore we modify the component value in the zobel filter and we provide a version 3.01 label to keep track of the production lot differences.  There is no need to send the amps back for any upgrade if it is already working fine in your system.
