The room Mic thread got locked but I wanted to post that one tool that is nice to have is the Rives Audio test disc which has test tones calibrated to measure flat on the Rat Shack SPL meter. It also has standard test tones as well as phase tests etc. Not a bad disc to pick up, order direct from their site, and no I am not affiliated with Rives in any way.
