Tyson's Show Coverage
« on: 30 Sep 2010, 05:51 am »
OK, this year I'm not reporting on RMAF in any official capacity, unlike last year when I was an official show reporter and interviewer.

Which means I am going to be particularly brutal to rooms that suck and especially effusive on rooms that rock this year.

And, I hope to see you all there!  If you don't mind a commute, I'll be glad to buy shots of Single Malt Scotch at Pints this year!

Addendum -

Some people might not like scotch, so for those of you who prefer beer, we can hit the Falling Rock Tap Brewery, which has 72 beers on tap (yes, I counted them last time I was there).

You'll have to ask Pez about that.  I did it last year and it was a pain, so I'm leaving it to others (maybe Pez) this year.  BTW, Pint's has the 2nd best  burger in Denver, after the Cherry Cricket.

2nd addenum - pm me for my cell # so we can hook up during the show.  I'm taking off work so I'll be there full time all 3 days.

Captain Humble and myself went to Pints Pub....back in 2005.

Nice place, nice people...great selection of scotch....they closed around 1AM or 2AM...

So.....there was another bar just across the street....open till 4AM... :D

It was a long night...but fun.

Took a taxi back to the Marriott.

yes, but were you seeing double??  :P

wish I could get to CO.  There are a few set ups I'd love to hear that don't come to the little AKfest in MI.

I will not be doing the following:
Taped interviews
Room by room coverage
Extensive blurbs on equipment, manufacturers etc.
Special requests for ABC manufacturers
In depth descriptions of what a room has

I will be doing:
Some pictures
Short blurbs
Opinions and purchases

I apologize, but last year was way too much work and while we both enjoy doing it for the community we did not enjoy the show nearly as much. Check my sticky to see what we are hoping to get going this year.
