And it's still only a small fraction of total music sales. Wow, the BIG selling albums sold 25-40K copies each. Most albums are pressed in runs of 4000 and that's it. Still insignificant. The increases look huge b/c the base is so small.

What wasn't accounted for was used LPs. That number would greatly overshadow the "new" LP sales by many fold. I also don't think that Beck's new LP is mainstream.

Fremer claims that 1,000,000 turntables were sold last year. If that number is anywhere close to true, the used LP market will be getting hit hard, and may help stimulate new LP sales. One problem with new LPs is the cost. Buy 3 LPs and you have spent $100 dollars, Buy 3 used LPs and spend $10 dollars.
