Title: IDA-16 A/D Conversion?
Post by: Andrewcj7 on 28 May 2018, 04:32 am
Hi

I am sure this has been answered, but I have trawled through the forum and only found one reference that said that the Analog input stays analog. But in a Hifi-Review.net review of the IDA-16 it says:
As the IDA 16's front end is fundamentally digital (the analog connection uses an A/D converter), standard analog preamp circuitry isn't desired.

So what is the actual case? Does the analog input stay analog or is it converted to digital?

PS Cant wait to here the specs of the IDA-32!

Gee, the reviewer is wrong!
IDA-16 analog input doesn't go through A/D.
