Passive Mode and Interconnects

Having looked into passive pre-amps a while ago I remember reading about the need for interconnects with some certain aspects that depended on the input impedance of the amplifier and source.  I may have got this wrong but can't seem to find any of the links I read this at.

So what are the guidelines for interconencts and passive pre-amps?  If it helps any I have the following equipment that will be used with a recently orders Octal 6A kit.

Decware Zen SET - 100K input impedance
Dynaco ST70 - 470K input impedance

Cambridge Audio 500SE CD unit - output impedance I guess?  I contacted Cambridge to ask about that spec but no reply yet.

Any thoughts, experiences, links......

TIA

RodB,

Try e-mailing Michael Schelb (a.k.a.  akshobhyavajra) here at Audio Circle.
He has the 6A and using the same amp as you have.
