See, I never understood this. I once ran into one fellow who seemed quite serious about haunting his wife if she liquidated any of his extensive collection.
You're gone. It doesn't matter anymore, and those you leave behind can do what they wish. Plus, lying to your spouse about the money spent on audio is usually a recipe for eventual disaster.
The best gift you can leave to your offspring or spouse is liquidating your collection yourself unless anyone has a specific interest in carrying the torch forward.
Or, making it known that your closest audio buddies can come take what they want at no charge, which is what I have expressed to my closest relatives.
