Recommendations needed for IPod Headphones
« on: 1 Mar 2008, 06:19 pm »
Guys:

I want to purchase a decent pair of headphones for an IPod Nano and would prefer not to spend over $75.00.  Would you please make some recommendations for my consideration?

Thanks,

Ken

Etymotic ER6i's should be around that price.
Nice sound for the $$ - and designed to work with the ipod

If you like over-the-ears, then the Sennheiser PX-100 are hard to beat.  I got mine from one of the Amazon sellers for $20-$25.

Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones

I wear these two at work for 4 or 6 hours a night and find they both have good sound The Etymotic Research ER6 Isolator In-Ear Earphones are nice but i found for me that they isolated a little to much ie the bus would run you over before you would hear the horn. but in any case any one of these i would consider being  :thumb:

over the ear these are good

Also in the $25 range, Sennheiser HD-202s

Back around $75, Sennheiser HD-280s

Depends on what type you're comfortable with.
And the usage - like Ecramer said, they can isolate TOO well.

As long as you do not need to hear anything outside of them these are the best value in my opinion period. They are amazing for an Ipod. Now throwing in a small pocket amp is sweet but... These were made for an Ipod specifically, to match the sound of slightly "cold" with a little bit warmer sounding ear phone.

They are worth a few extra bucks. If none of the ear pieces fit right they will send you samples.
