Capping Unused RCA Inputs ?
« on: 12 Oct 2003, 01:38 am »
Every so often I see adds for caps to cover unused unbalanced inputs on a pre-amp. I believe they are supposed to reduce noise that is introduced by unused inputs having no interconnect, and hence no drain for noise ? I'm certainly not an electronics expert so the previous info may be totally wrong.

From all of the clicking I here from my SP-1.7, I'm gussing that a lot of relays are  used among other things to switch inputs. If this is the case, would these RCA caps have any effect (positive) when used on a SP-1.7, or BP-25 ?

Has anybody tried them ?

I have Cardas caps on the unused inputs on my preamp (which is not a Bryston) and they make me sleep better at night - thats all they do.....
