Joni Mitchell: Don Juan's Reckless Daughter '77

from allmusic: "Joni contracted some of Jazz fusion's pioneers to back her on this album, Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter and drummer Peter Erskine who were all members of the ground breaking fusion band Weather Report at this time. In my opinion the strongest tunes are the first five tunes. Also track 8 the title track is also pretty good. When you listen to these tunes you can't help but notice the beautiful fret less bass lines of Jaco Pastorius which offer most of the melodic content, the bass is also mixed the most promeniant of all the instruments on most of the tracks.

It's crazy. We spent so much time and effort getting over here and now we're having to do it again to get back. We just got back from the vet to get the paperwork for our dog. Thankfully he didn't need any shots, just a wellness exam. If all goes well we'll be on a charter on the 13th, then extended stay living in Houston until they give us the all-clear to come back. We've been told it could be as early as a month and as long as September-ish. At least I'll be able to get a good haircut and drink my favorite IPA's again!

Great news on the closing! Always an exciting time moving into a new place! Our household goods arrive here in two weeks so we'll move into our apartment as soon as we get back. Can't wait to get my stereo set-up. I'm getting really tired of listening to headphones.
