Hi everyone,

I have Scott 222D int amp (which uses EL84 as output tubes), and a kit version (lk72) of Scott 299C int amp (uses 7591 output tubes).
They both use a pair of 12ax7 tubes in the line stage. I am looking forward to some tube changes.
May I ask for some advice of experts on tube rolling on these amps?
I am wishing for tubes oriented towards the mid-range with sparkling highs. Thank you!

  • Audio - It's all a big fake.
The Psvane EL84s are excellent.

I got an early 60s Telefunken 12AX7 from Andy at Vintage Tube Services for my Ampandsounds Kenzie Encore (now using as a pre-amp for my JotR). It's a great tube and Andy is extremely fair with his prices.
