I just wanted to mention a few things that are not found on the website yet.

A few tweaks are incorporated within the cabinet itself and the binding post are  replaced with high quality WBT units.

 Bi-amping is not an option (for those who have already asked this question).

 For those who may already own a pair of Adagio speakers, we are also offering these upgrades to speakers already in service no matter how old they are.

Okay folks, there have been many inquiries as to the components used in these speakers. I have updated the website with the following information.

The Adagio EXtreme utilizes completely new, enhanced crossovers using components that bring the full potential of these speakers to the surface.  The low pass filter utilizes high quality air core inductors for a fast, accurate and deep response, high quality film capacitors and non-inductive resistors with gold plated leads.

The high pass filter is assembled using top quality components such as Mills non-inductive resistors, high quality air core inductors and proprietary ModWright Instruments' oil-impregnated polypropylene and Teflon film capacitors.

The single wire input connection is made through a pair of high quality WBT speaker binding post. Everything is tied together using Acoustic Zen's very own cabling which is known throughout the world as being among the best in the industry.

The crossover components are matched to very tight tolerances even before assembly begins. Once the crossover assemblies are completed, they are again matched to assure tight tolerances. This critical step is all too often overlooked by most speaker manufacturers but here at Response Audio, we realize how crucial this is. This is not a step worth skipping as improperly match crossovers within a pair of speakers can have a degrading effect on the speaker's capabilities to provide a spacious soundstage as well as pinpoint imaging.

 As an update, we are now taking orders for late March delivery. This includes orders for new units as well as speakers sent in by current owners for the EXtreme upgrade.

 The benches are filling up with EXtreme Hurricane MKII and Bella EXtreme 100 amplifiers as well as Adagio EXtreme orders. I will update the Bella Extreme website with current turnaround times as further orders come in.

The Adagio EXtreme has been doing well with several pairs now burning in nicely in consumers' homes.

 For all orders taken throughout May 15th 2007, we will continue to offer FREE RETURN SHIPPING to the lower 48. Orders will be  filled on a first come, first serve basis with current turnaround times being approximately 20 days from the times we receive the speakers.

 With a few Adagio speakers currently on AudioGon, it makes it easy to purchase a pair of these speakers at a reduced cost from retail, have them sent direct to us for EXtreme upgrades and still be at about retail price of a stock pair. (give or take).

 For those who have questioned the older design vs the new, I can assure you that I could easily live and be happy with either. We are able to perform the upgardes on all Adagio speakers starting with the very first pair produced.

 Upgrades are available for all floorstanding units, Adagio Jr., and the Adagio Center channel.
